What wetsuit should I pack for Peniche?
Summer needs a 3/2mm, spring and fall a 4/3mm, and winter a hooded 5/4mm. The water ranges from about 13°C in winter to 20°C in summer.
Do I need to bring my own surfboard?
For trips under a week, renting is simpler and cheaper than flying with a board. Stay longer and a padded travel bag pays for itself.
Can I buy surf gear in Peniche?
Yes — there are surf shops in Peniche and Baleal — but prices are usually higher than buying online before you travel.
